The WV Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRC) offer help with programs to assist with care to help maintain a healthy lifestyle or to remain living safely at home . The ADRC can help you with information, eligibility, and the application process.
As of 3/27/2024, all funds have been spent. There are other programs and options available, so please call the ADRC to find out more.
WV Bureau of Senior Services Home Modification and Accessibility Program Aging Well and Safe at Home applications are available through the ADRC.
If you are age 60+ and can demonstrate a need for home modifications and/or accessibility devices to assist you, to live more independently at home, you may apply for funds to assist with these costs.

Senior Smile Dental Assistance Grant
The WV Bureau of Senior Services offers a Senior Smile Dental Assistance Grant administered by ADRC to provide eligible seniors with dental procedures up to $1,200.

The program provides for services such as:
- Routine Office Visit
- X-Rays
- Cleanings
- Extractions
- Emergency services such as abscess, broken tooth, etc.
- Dentures; either full or partial
Eligibility for the dental grant, as funds are available, are as follows:
- Applicants must be 55 years of age or older
- Applicants must reside in the following counties: Clay, Boone, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln or Putnam
- Applications must have an income at 125 % poverty level or below
